 | 5 Hits for Red Sox Félix Friday, July 29th, 2039: No matter what the Chicago (A) White Sox threw at him today, Iván Félix hit it. He easily handled White Sox pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Red Sox to a 13-2 triumph at Fenway Park. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Chicago (A) skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we may just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." I. Félix singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This season Félix is hitting .380 with 142 hits, 8 home runs, 44 RBIs, scored 57 runs and played in 95 games. |
