 | Hits Galore: Iglésias Drills 5 Hits Saturday, July 30th, 2039: All game long Minnesota's Francisco Iglésias was rattling the walls at The Ballpark at Arlington and banging out base hits against the Texas Rangers. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Twins had a 19-1 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 31-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." F. Iglésias walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off J. Castro in the 9th. So far this season Iglésias has put up a .314 batting average with 141 hits, 20 home runs and 68 RBIs. |
