"I just wanted to get a good swing on the ball all day," Choo said. "And I did." Despite the loss, it was a good game for the 32-year-old Mets center fielder. He had 2 hits, scored 3 runs and had 2 runs batted in. The Braves manager said, "You could see he was aggressive up there. The worst thing we did was throw him a strike. It probably would have been better if threw the ball outside of the strike zone every time he came to the plate because he seemed like he was in a hurry to get it over with." Choo has played in 1674 games and posted a lifetime .311 average. He has 1942 hits, 320 doubles, 62 triples and 400 homers. In addition he has driven in 1430 runs and scored 1152 times. |
