The Florida Marlins have sent 35-year old catcher Alexander Braunstein and a 2nd round draft pick to the Montreal Expos for 28-year old catcher Matt Wieters. Looking at his season stats, Braunstein has compiled a .165 batting average and a .261 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 9 runs. So far this season Wieters is batting .237 with 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 19 hits in 80 at-bats, 4 walks and a .299 OBP. Wieters has played in 43 games. |
