Brian McFall is respected by most San Diego Padres fans for his no-frills style of play. The 34-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the National League Player of the Week honors.

He compiled a .571 average (12-21) with 2 home runs, 2 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

This season McFall has delivered 132 hits in 466 at-bats for a .283 average with 20 home runs. He is getting on base at a .375 clip and his totals also include 68 RBIs and 81 runs scored. This year McFall has played in 123 games.
