 | Monday, August 26th, 2030: Great Week for St. Louis's Right Fielder After all of Adam Lind's years in baseball, some have suggested -- albeit very delicately -- that he should think about calling it quits. But the "mature adult," as he calls himself, showed last week that he's still capable of keeping up with the youngsters. The 35-year-old St. Louis right fielder was honored today as the National League Player of the Week. He fended off all comers by posting a .500 average with 13 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 RBIs. Lind has a .338 average and a .448 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 162 hits, 19 home runs and driven in 75 runs. |
