Wednesday, October 22nd, 2042: Red Sox reliever Millard Morgan could miss 3-4 weeks with fractured finger he suffered while racing his teammate on the highway. At first club officials were concerned that Morgan might miss additional time, but doctors have revised their earlier assessment.
Morgan has logged a 3-1 record in his career, appearing in 52 games with 82 strikeouts and 24 walks in 60.2 innings. He has been credited with 2 saves and has a 3.12 ERA.

Sunday, September 28th, 2042: Brian Pearson of the San Diego Padres proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the CDL International League East Outstanding Hitter Award.
Pearson hit for a .289 average while collecting 139 hits, 22 doubles, 2 triples, 42 home runs, 105 RBIs and scoring 81 times.

Sunday, September 28th, 2042: John Kelly of the Indianapolis Indians had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2042.
The 21-year-old center fielder put up a .324 average and a .405 on-base percentage, piling up 165 hits, 19 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs, 65 RBIs and 85 runs scored.
