Monday, September 30th, 2030: Cedric Zamorano Not Happy in California?
It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that California's Cedric Zamorano has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the reliever may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.
Saturday, August 31st, 2030: California's Payne to Miss Season
Dan Payne has to call it a season. The California Angels catcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Seattle Mariners and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Payne was injured while colliding with a player at a base. His doctors diagnosed it as a possible ruptured disc (back) and stated that he would not be able to play for 12-13 months.

In 2030 Payne is hitting .241, batted in 63 runs with 17 home runs and 66 runs scored.
Saturday, August 24th, 2030: Hillman Bewilders Rangers in Shutout
Willie Hillman of the California Angels was lights out in a 4-hit whitewash of the Texas Rangers.

He told BNN reporters, "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go."

He registered 3 strikeouts and 3 walks in shutting out Texas 4-0.

On his stats sheet this season Hillman shows a 6-17 record, 28 starts, 166.2 innings, 51 strikeouts and a 5.02 ERA.
