Tuesday, September 24th, 2030: League Suspends Orioles Rivero 3 Games
Baltimore Orioles third baseman Carlos Rivero was suspended 3 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Oakland Athletics.

"I think the 3 games are a little harsh," Rivero said.

He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes.

After his ejection, Rivero went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed."

Rivero has collected 132 hits for the Orioles this year, 9 of them home runs. He has also netted 59 RBIs and scored 58 runs while batting .251.
Friday, September 6th, 2030: Detroit's García Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
José García really did a number on the Orioles in the Detroit 12-5 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But José García did just that today for the Tigers and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.

"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 32-year-old center fielder said after his record-setting performance.

J. García grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off B. Clark in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

This year García has hit at a .262 clip with 85 RBIs, 20 home runs and 110 runs scored.
Wednesday, August 28th, 2030: Betances Takes Charge, Blanks Baltimore
At Safeco Field today Baltimore dropped a 3-0 decision to Dellin Betances and the Seattle Mariners. The Orioles offered little resistance to Betances, who stopped them on 3 hits, fanned 5 and walked 0.

This year Betances has registered 17 wins and 6 losses in 27 starts with a 3.07 ERA while registering 174 strikeouts and 21 walks in 193.2 innings.
