Tuesday, September 24th, 2030: League Gives Alston and Helms 14-Game Suspensions
It was quite a row yesterday at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees Reginald Alston and the Royals Richard Helms backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Alston and Helms were ejected.

As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 14-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions.

Looking at his stats this year, Alston has compiled a .301 batting average, while hitting 44 home runs and driving in 125 runs. He has played in 148 games and scored 95 runs.

This season Helms has compiled a 10-6 mark with a 5.30 ERA.
Friday, September 20th, 2030: New York (A)'s Finkbeiner Gets 2000th Hit
It was a day of mixed emotions for New York (A) shortstop Nathan Finkbeiner, who collected his 2000th hit in the club's 5-3 loss to Detroit. Yankees and Tigers fans alike cheered Finkbeiner as he reached base after his milestone hit.

"I wish the score had been different," Finkbeiner said after the game, "but it was a great moment. The standing ovation was really special... even the fans wearing Tigers caps were cheering me."

Finkbeiner was 2-3 on the day.

Lifetime Finkbeiner has hit for a .295 average and totaled 2001 hits, 166 home runs and 916 RBIs.
Wednesday, September 4th, 2030: Focht Thrilled, Stays with New York (A)
Yankees fans were divided today as New York (A) confirmed that the front office has signed James Focht to a 2-year extension at a rate of $1,000,000 per year.

While many were enthusiastically behind the signing, others worried about Focht's age.

This year Focht is hitting at a .235 pace with 14 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has played in 118 games and scored 58 times.
