24-year-old Aaron Barber sent shock waves through Cooperstown Diamond Legends last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Barber made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .609 average, 14 hits in 23 at-bats, 1 home run and 7 RBI.
Where the Toronto Blue Jays second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Barber certainly made his mark last week.
Thus far in 2030 Barber has hit .223 with 2 home runs, 31 RBIs and scored 31 runs.
