Wednesday, September 11th, 2030: McFall on Fire, 5-6 Against Los Angeles
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Brian McFall got one today. He scattered hits all over Jack Murphy Stadium to pace San Diego to a 14-3 victory over Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, McFall hit several that he is not supposed to hit."

B. McFall hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

In the 2030 season McFall is hitting .308 with 29 home runs.
Tuesday, September 10th, 2030: José Gómez Injured, Out for Season
José Gómez has to call it a season. The Los Angeles Dodgers left fielder sustained a season-ending injury against the San Diego Padres and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Gómez was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a strained hamstring muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 3 weeks.

This season Gómez is hitting at a .239 pace with 8 home runs, 58 RBIs and has scored 96 times.
