Monday, September 16th, 2030: NL Presents Player of the Week Trophy
A battle-tested Brian McFall declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old San Diego center fielder collected the National League Player of the Week Award.

He wrapped up the week with a .552 average, 16 hits in 29 at-bats, 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 6 runs scored.

Friday, September 13th, 2030: Season-Ending Injury for Craig Barr
Doctors in San Diego said Craig Barr may not play anymore this year. The Padres reliever received a tight labrum muscle during a game against the Colorado Rockies and will be out for at least 2 weeks. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.

This season in 53 relief appearances Barr has thrown 72 innings and collected 1 save. His won-lost record is 5-1 with a 3.25 ERA.
