| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, August 14th, 2030: Caldwell Fires Shutout in Red Wings Win Everything clicked on the hill today for Andrew Caldwell of the Rochester Red Wings as he hurled his club to a 7-0 shutout win over the Syracuse Chiefs, limiting them to 4 hits while recording 10 strikeouts and yielding no walks. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.
"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Chiefs manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
Checking out his stats for the season, Caldwell has racked up 7 wins and 5 losses in 13 starts, 2.76 ERA and struck out 60 batters in 94.2 innings. |  | Saturday, June 15th, 2030: Richmond-Rochester Brawl, Watson and Donovan Suspended Richmond's Matt Watson and Rochester's George Donovan have been handed 7-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at Braves Ballpark. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner Watson and Donovan provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired.
Watson is hitting .243 this year with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 61 hits in 251 at-bats, 31 walks and a .334 on-base percentage. Watson has played in 68 games.
