| Breaking News | | Wednesday, August 14th, 2030: Cecil Hurls Red Sox to Shutout Victory Red Sox pitcher Brett Cecil did his job today, blanking the Richmond Braves at Pawtucket Grounds. He scattered 5 hits while striking out 3 in the 5-0 shutout.
In the 2030 season Cecil has recorded a 11-10 mark. In 25 starts he has fanned 56 batters in 172.1 innings with a 3.92 ERA. | | Thursday, August 1st, 2030: Injury Sidelines Benedict Ramírez for Season The doctors have spoken and Benedict Ramírez of the Richmond Braves didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old center fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ramírez sustained his season-ending injury during the Ottawa Lynx game yesterday at Braves Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while making a defensive play. Today the Richmond medical staff reported Ramírez had a possible ruptured disc (back) and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.
In the current season, Ramírez has put up a .245 batting average with 106 hits, 14 home runs, 58 RBI and scored 62 runs. | | Monday, July 1st, 2030: June's #1 Hurler Announced - Gregory Winner In June, Craig Gregory tore through the CDL International League West like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 24 years old.
The young Richmond starter posted a 4-1 mark and an ERA of 2.45 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 51.1 innings he collected 28 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .250 average.
In 19 starts this season Gregory has crafted a 6-10 record with a 4.74 ERA. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | CF Benedict Ramírez | possible ruptured disc (back) | 4-5 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 66-64, .508 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 16.0 GB | | Record at home | 31-34, .477 PCT | | Record on the road | 35-30, .538 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 9-5, .643 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 27-12, .692 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 19-20, .487 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 47-44, .516 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in May | 12-17, .414 PCT | | Record in June | 16-10, .615 PCT | | Record in July | 17-11, .607 PCT | | Record in August | 7-12, .368 PCT |
