Thursday, August 15th, 2030: Loughran Shuts out Yankees
The final score was 6-0 in favor of Portland. Leading the way to victory was Nicholas Loughran, who shackled the Scranton Wilkes Barre Yankees and held them scoreless on a 2-hitter.

Thursday, August 1st, 2030: New Orleans's Etherton Shines, Shuts out Portland
New Orleans's Larry Etherton breezed through the Beavers lineup today, collecting a 5-hit shutout and a 12-0 victory along the way. Etherton fanned 5 as well.

"I didn't really feel like I had my game today," Etherton confessed, "but some days are like that -- you just gotta go with what you have."

Thursday, July 18th, 2030: Jacobs Blisters Memphis
Mac Jacobs really sizzled at the plate in today's 4-2 win over Redbirds. The Portland first baseman blistered Memphis for 5 hits in 7 at-bats.

"Jacobs was too tough to get out today," the Redbirds skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

M. Jacobs doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th, struck out in the 15th and hit a two-run home run off L. Barnes in the 17th.
