| Breaking News | | Tuesday, October 1st, 2030: Kansas City Retains Sizemore The Royals inked a deal with 26-year-old Scott Sizemore today signaling that it not only wanted him on the field but in the clubhouse.
Publicly, Scott Sizemore has spoken highly of Kansas City, so the extension wasn't a total surprise.
Sizemore will draw $6,060,000 over the next 3 years.
So far this season Sizemore has 18 home runs and a .275 batting average. | | Tuesday, September 24th, 2030: League Gives Alston and Helms 14-Game Suspensions It was quite a row yesterday at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees Reginald Alston and the Royals Richard Helms backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Alston and Helms were ejected.
As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 14-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions.
Looking at his stats this year, Alston has compiled a .301 batting average, while hitting 44 home runs and driving in 125 runs. He has played in 148 games and scored 95 runs.
This season Helms has compiled a 10-6 mark with a 5.30 ERA. | | Thursday, September 19th, 2030: Pagan Raps 300th Roundtripper Angel Pagan hit a historic home run today -- career blast number 300. "I am happy to be in such elite company. It has been quite a ride so far," Pagan said after the game.
The Rangers left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 runs batted in as the Texas Rangers won 11-2 over the Kansas City Royals.
His career numbers show Pagan is hitting .313 with a total of 301 home runs. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 72-90, .444 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 31.0 GB | | Record at home | 42-39, .519 PCT | | Record on the road | 30-51, .370 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 8-8, .500 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 25-22, .532 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 14-23, .378 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 58-67, .464 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 2-8, .200 PCT | | Record in April | 17-11, .607 PCT | | Record in May | 15-14, .517 PCT | | Record in June | 10-15, .400 PCT | | Record in July | 11-18, .379 PCT | | Record in August | 9-19, .321 PCT | | Record in September | 10-13, .435 PCT |
